Back to Work
After a week and a half of just doing nothing and eating garbage, I'm back on track. I'm doing a 5K with my buddy Dave next month in Virginia and I want to totally kick his ass. I was chatting with him last night and he was actually in a very similar situation as me. He got to a certain weight and decided he was just too fat and has been working out and eating right for about 2 years. He's roughly the same height as me and he was telling me that he bought a size small shirt the other day. I was just like What the Fuck!? I felt disappointed in myself for having not exercised in so long and having weighed in 6 pounds higher than my lowest weight (mostly from pumpkin pie). After hearing about his progress, I got off AIM and immediately went to bed. I put a index card next to my alarm clock that says "RUN BITCH!" - and that's what I did this morning. First time I've run in a while. I went to the gym and ran 3.34 miles. I'm not going to give any times because I don't want Dave to know what he's up against.
I've also consulted a friend of mine, Jonathan Kleiman, who I've known since I was 5 or 6. He was a major track star starting in high school and he gave me some tips on improving my speed. He had some awesome ideas that I'm going to try.
...and I'm Just Getting Started.
Look out, Dave.

Bring it, Jon. I am so ready to beat your pancake-loving ass on race day! And, when I do win, I am going to make you sniff my singlet.

Oh, is sniffing a guy's singlet like tossing his salad?
