Brush With Greatness

Here's a recent brush with greatness. I'm going to post of few of these over the next few days. Having had no place to put my BsWG, I have several to share.

This is a picture of me with Al Franken taken on October 11, 2005. It was at a fund raiser for Jon Corzine for Governor. It was at a comedy club in New Brunswick and the event went down like this... We would listen to the debate on the radio between Jon Corzine and the Doug Forrester and Al Franken would make wise cracks about Doug Forrester. It was sorta funny, but it was cooler to meet Al Franken. After the debate, Jon Corzine called the comedy club to thank us all for coming and helping the campaign.

The assistant to the head of the NJ Board of Public Utilities introduced me to Al and she took our picture. I also met the head of the Board of Public Utilities, although I don't remember her name.

I was all star struck with Al. I drank a few beers before meeting him in hopes I could calm down. You can see I'm all flush in the picture. Al asked me what PriusXM.com was all about and I told him. I figured it might be interesting to him since Air America Radio had announced they were going to be on XM exclusively (instead of XM and Sirius) a short time before this event. At some point I'll post my opinions of XM and Sirius and why I think XM is part of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy despite having Air America Radio.
