New Wallet Ideas

I have a Duct-Tape wallet made by Ducti. Here's a picture of it:

As you can see, it's in pretty bad shape. I'd like to have a new wallet and Ducti has a lifetime replacement policy, so for $6.50 (to cover shipping) I could have a brand new wallet just like this one. Over the years, I've gotten a lot of inquiries about my wallet... mostly "oh that's neat, did you make that?". I usually tell people the truth because I'm pretty bad at keeping my story straight once I start making shit up. I'd like to be able to honestly tell people that I made it, but I'm sorta tired of the duct tape look. So, I've decided I'm going to make my own wallet in the same fashion as this one. I reverse-engineered the design and I'm pretty sure I can replicate it.

I've seen other people use clear packing tape and a variety of materials to make similar wallets. For example, I've seen a "playing card" wallet and a "comic book" wallet. Here are some ideas I have for my new wallet:

- A wallet made from an uncut sheet of $2 bills
- A wallet made from old world war II propaganda comics
- A wallet made from the interesting pages of a Playboy
- A wallet made from pictures of creepy photos of people from the 1800s

Let me know what you think or if you have other ideas.

  • A wallet made from dirty underwear? That might only work as a change purse, though.

  • How about broken glass?
